The Science and Industry Museum is where you can explore 250 years of innovations and ideas that started life in Manchester and went on to change the world.

Each month there are many exbitions and events. 

MUSEUM ADMISSION

The museum is open 10.00–17.00 daily (closed 24–26 December and 1 January). 

We recommend booking your free museum admission tickets and special exhibition tickets in advance. 

Entry to the museum is free. There may be a charge for some special exhibitions and events. 

SHOP AND CAFÉ

The shop is open 10.00–17.00 daily. 

The café is open 08.00–17.00 Monday – Friday, and 09.30–17.00 Saturdays and Sundays. 

You are also welcome to bring your own food to enjoy in our indoor picnic area.

It is located in Castlefield, not far from the Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop.  

We do not have parking facilities on site and encourage visitors to use public transport if possible. You can find more information about getting to the museum here.
